Karlsson Back To IceHogs 2/22/13

The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned goaltender Henrik Karlsson (HEHN-rihk KARL-suhn) to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Karlsson, 29, did not appear in a game with the Blackhawks, serving as the backup goaltender for the last three contests. Prior to his recall from Rockford on Feb. 15, Karlsson appeared in four games with the IceHogs, posting a 2-2-0 record with a 2.23 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

The Stockholm, Sweden, native was acquired from Calgary on Jan. 21 and made his Rockford debut on Feb. 1 at San Antonio. Karlsson earned his first win as an IceHog on Feb. 5 at Texas.
