State Could Impose Cell Phone Tax

The state could dial up another tax, this time on your cell phone.
Customers would have to pay an extra. 27 cents a month their bill. The extra money would be used to fund 911 centers. Typically, land lines help pay for them. But, a lot of people don't have one anymore.
A recent analysis by the Tax Foundation recently found Illinois already has some of the highest cell phones taxes and fees in the nation.
