Dakota Wrestlers Win State 2/23/13

Normal, Illinois-For the second time in school history Dakota is celebrating a team state championship in wrestling. The Indians won the 1A crown Saturday.
They started off by defeating defending champion LeRoy in the quarterfinals 41-25. Then they beat Petersburg 57-19 in the semis. Lastly in the finals they knocked off Aledo Mercer County 35-25.
120 pounder Josh Alber set a new state record by running his personal winning streak to 134 straight matches.
The Indians will hold a celebration rally at the high school Sunday at 2:00.
