Janesville Woman Charged With 5th OWI After Crash

ROCK COUNTY-- A Janesville woman was charged with OWI, her 5th, after reportedly driving her Ford Taurus into a ditch. The Rock County Sheriff's Office says a deputy came across the car driven by 49-year-old Lonnie Bechtolt in a ditch on MH Townline Rd. in Milton Township early Sunday morning. Bechtolt was found near the car, and was not hurt.
The investigation concluded that Bechtolt was driving north on Harmoney Townhall Rd. when she ran a stop sign and crashed into the ditch.
The deputy observed that she was confused and her speech was slurred. She refused to take a field sobriety test, and was arrested for her 5th OWI.
