UPDATE: Rockford Shooting Victim Identified

UPDATED: A report from the Winnebago County Coroner's office said Hollins was carried into the emergency room by a person who said he had been shot. Hollins was pronounced at 10:45 p.m. Monday night. The coroner's report stated he died as a result of single gunshot wound.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Rockford Polilce are still investigating the incident.

A 20 year old man was killed Monday night near Rockford's Fairgrounds housing complex. Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Rockford police responded to the emergency room at Rockford Memorial Hospital. There they discovered a victim was shot in the 300 block of Underwood Street. Police found shell cases outside one door and bullet holes going through the door into an apartment. A neighbor tells Eyewitness News she heard six to seven gun shots then saw a man being carried away. Around the same time she says three cars left the area quickly.
