Belvidere Semi Accident Victim Dies From Injuries

Belvidere - The 67 year-old woman involved in an accident with a semi truck has died.
Gail Hegarty passed away this morning due to a traumatic brain injury. On Monday, she was driving south on Pearl Street near U.S. 20 when a semi t-boned her. She was in critical condition for a week.
The 40 year-old passenger she was with is recovering from her injuries.
The truck driver initially was cited for running a red light. No word yet if additional charges will be issued.
