Belvidere - With state aid dwindling, the Belvidere School District puts three of its schools on the chopping block.
Per the board's recommendation, Perry and Kishwaukee Elementary Schools could be closed next Fall. Perry's students would move to Meehan and Kishwaukee's kids to Caledonia Elementary School. Belvidere South is slated to be closed the following year.
With the closures of the elementary schools no grade reconfigurations are expected, at least for now.
