Saudargas hopes to regain the seat she held for 11 years. She's filed a request with the school board to reconvene the panel that removed her from the ballot. The panel ruled Saudargas failed to collect enough signatures.
Reyes urged others to join him in a protest if the school board has not reconvened the election panel before its March 12th meeting.
Both candidates are calling for better communication with teachers and parents and a complete outside audit of school district finances.
The election will be held April 9th.
