At 10:30 A.M. Monday morning, the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning in Rock County and several surrounding counties.
This warning was issued inadvertently during a test of the Wireless Emergency Alert System. This alert was only a test of the system and was not intended for release via NOAA weather radios and cellular phones.
While the Rock County area does not face the threat of a tornado, the county is under a Winter Storm Warning until Tuesday at 6:00 pm. This winter storm could bring a possible ten inches of heavy snow accumulation.
