If you travel through downtown Rockford to get to work, you may want to give your morning commute some extra time.
On Friday, nearly 1,500 people will visit downtown for the
Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation state tournament at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
Visitors are expected to arrive downtown for the opening ceremonies at 8 a.m.
Police will be working in collaboration with the BMO Harris Bank Center
to direct traffic and minimize any delays for both commuters and visitors. Some roads near the arena will be blocked off
by police. If you need to access the
roadway to enter your business or workplace, inform a police officer and you
will be let through.
The state championship is held on Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.
