Family Grieves After Toddler Killed By Pitbulls

A 14 month old died Wednesday following a vicious dog attack.
A family friend identified the boy as Daxton Borchardt. The attack happened around 1:00 p.m. at his babysitter's home in Walworth, WI.
The babysitter, Susan Iwicki called 911 saying that she and the toddler were being attacked by the pitbulls. An officer was in the area and arrived at the house located at N2037 N. Lakeshore Dr. within minutes of getting the call.
Both victims were taken to Mercy-Walworth Hospital. The toddler was later flown to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa. He was pronounced dead shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Police say that the attack happened outside but there was no indication as to what provoked the attack.
The dogs were later euthanized by authorities.
