ROCK COUNTY -- A SWAT team was called out to a home at 2237 E Huebbe Parkway in Turtle Township early Monday morning after a family disturbance turned into a potentially violent situation.
A call to emergency dispatchers indicated at 53-year-old man in the home was "freaking out". When Rock County deputies arrived, everyone except for the man had left the home, and deputies reported hearing the man yelling and breaking items. Family members also told them he may have access to a gun and was potentially suicidal.
Deputies were unable to get the man to talk with them, and so a SWAT team was called in. The man did have on-and-off communication with them after they arrived, but he still refused to come out of the home. SWAT deputies finally raided the home when the man was spotted in the sunroom, subduing him and taking him into custody. The man suffered a cut on his hand, and was taken to the Beloit Memorial hospital for evaluation.
No arrests have been made.
