Rockford - The locks are changing at Rockford Public Schools.
It'll allow teachers to lock classroom doors from the inside. Currently, teachers can only lock their doors from the outside. School leaders say that could put lives at risk in an emergency situation.
The district set aside a million dollars for the project and are currently looking for a locksmith.
