$2 Million Grant Awarded To Machesney Park

The Village of Machesney Park was recently awarded a $2 million roadway infrastructure grant by the Illinois Department of Transportation's Economic Development Program and Truck Access Route Programs.
Development of the industrial area near the intersection at I90 and IL173 will be covered under the grant. Grant money will be used to construct Lyford Road North connecting 173 to the entrance of HMC Products Company.
HMC is a local manufacturer that is relocating to the new industrial development named Park 90. Nine jobs will be created to construct the new facility and 35 jobs will be retained.
