Rockford - There will be no shortage of eggs at food pantries across Northern Illinois.
Pearl Valley Eggs donated 43,000 eggs to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. It's the sixth consecutive year they've done it. The Food Bank says it's a big deal that they can count on Pearl Valley to step up every year. "To get so much at one time is great because it'll benefit the Winnebago County food pantries" says Chris White, NW Center Manager for the N. Illinois Food Bank. "We'll be able to cover all the food pantries for this month, hopefully, with this amount of eggs."
Over the past six years, Pearl Valley has donated 250,000 eggs.
