Autopsy Scheduled For Shooting Victim

Rockford- An autopsy has been scheduled for the victim of Saturday's deadly shooting.
Winnebago Coroner Sue Fiduccia has scheduled an autopsy on William R. Patrick, 21, who was pronounced dead at 3:25 A.M. on March 16th.Shortly after 1:30 Saturday morning shots were fired in the 1500 block of South 6th street. Police then found a car that crashed nearby in the 1100 block of 15th Avenue. Four people were riding in the car. Two of the passengers were injured by gunfire.
The driver William Patrick, 21, of Rockford was pronounced dead at the scene. Samantha Colson, 21, of Rockford was transported to a local hospital. Her injuries are non life threatening.Police are reporting that the shooting and wreck was caused by some type of verbal fight between Patrick and the driver of another car.
